Highlights

- Project Coordinator at Spyglass, the company that commercialized  Mosaic, the first Internet browser, which was licensed to Microsoft and became Internet Explorer.

§         Identified areas of change impacting applications, prepared questionares for application impact areas, and analysed responses from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) regarding the impact to each application and across the enterprise,  determining  if the application needed remedation to function in the updated environment

Lead Data Engineer
- January 2002- August, 2007
(United Loyalty Services bought MyPoints and absorbed the technology personnel.)

·          Supported and maintained the E-Commerce database (Broadbase Database) and the ETL process that processes  data from multiple sources for that database. Also assisted in the transition of this database from Broadbase to an Oracle platform.

·          Engineered and supported the Campaign Data Mart (Oracle Database) as part of the datawarehouse team. Utilitzed PL/SQL, and KSH

 

MyPoints.Com - Schaumburg, Illinois May, 1999 – December, 2001
Software Engineer
MyPoints.com is an internet direct marketing and loyalty infrastructure provider

·       Maintained and enhanced index.cgi - the main entry point for co-brands, private labels, and the main www.mypoints.com site. (written in C)

·       Engineered a generic redirect that gets a user logged in and redirected to an appropriate co-branded site. (written in PL/SQL)

·       Implemented a mail pre-processor that "bursts" mime encoded mail into appropriate pieces for further processing. (written in PERL)

·       Implemented multi-byte character utilities as part of the Mypoints.com (Mypoints for Japan) project.

 

Inso Corporation - Chicago Illinois 1998 - May, 1999

Inso is a software development firm offerring electronic publishing solutions. The Chicago office focuses on file viewing and conversions products.

·       Tested the OutsideIn-Server plugin using low level HTTP commands.

·       Automated testing of the publishing rules (using C/C++) and explicit publishing (using Java) portions of the OutsideIn-Server

·       Tested other Inso products including Quick View Plus and OutSideIn Technology

Phoenix New Media, Inc. - Urbana Illinois 1997 - 1998

·          Designed and implemented code to meet the needs of clients with multiple hosting vendors – gaining experience in Perl, PHP, JSP, Active Server Pages programing and  Netscape, Apache, and II0S web server software. Operating Systems included Solaris, Irix, Linux, and Windows NT.

·       Working with client’s ISPs to provision environments, and transfer DNS.

·       Clients included TCBY, National Association of Morticians, and Muscular Dystrophy Association.

 

Spyglass, Inc. - Champaign, Illinois 1995 – 1997
Project Coordinator
A developer of OEM internet and world wide web technologies.

·       Coordinated multi-platform releases of the Spyglass Mosaic Browser product, interfacing with QA, Technical Communications, Engineering, and Technical Support.

·       Spyglass Mosaic 2.1 released on 90 day cycle.

·       Acted as official contact with our off-site Technical Support department for support of the Browser product.

·       Assisted, guided, and led customers through the customization of their web browser from start to finish.
